Viva de Granada

Granada is beautiful. Im staying for 10 euro a night in this expat hippy hangout called The Flophouse in the middle of the old town on top of the hill. I accidentally met back up with some folks from the hostel in Valencia, theyre making their way down to Morroco and Im joining them starting now. The hostel owner and his friend just sit around all day listening to live recrded Grateful Dead shows and reminiscing the loss of the fat man. They both went to some shows in the early 90s. I think theyre like 30ish. But theyre nice and cool and they chill, their existence is chill. I didnt book enough nights in advance so tonight Ill be sleeping on the rooftop terrace in a hammock. Bummer.

One of the best views in Spain is a 4 minute walk through the narrow streets of the old moorish town. It overlooks Alhambra and Granda city.

Also, Granada has preserved the tradition of free tapas with your drink, so living here is, to sum up, cheap. And so chill. I shouldnt be using the computer during siesta…
