MBG in Europe

Updated from the road, from the mind, from the heart, from the soul...

Dear Mom,

Can you believe you’ve been a (my) mom for almost 21 years?! That’s a long time. I’m sure you’ve learned a lot in all these days I’ve been alive. You sure have taught me a whole bunch about all kinds of things.

But there’s something else I need to know. I’ve heard that it’s near impossible to thank someone for saving your life, but can you tell me how to thank someone for giving your life?

I bet it takes a lifetime to do that. I know I’m already behind too, I’ve spent too much time being ungrateful and selfish, and too little time giving hugs and telling you how much I care about you, how much you mean to me, and thanking you for caring about me. I can’t wait to thank you in person for the endless stream of love and kindness and advice and care with which you’ve filled my whole life up. But, since you’re at LEAF and your phone is off and dad’s phone is off too a blog post will have to do. (Finally I get to embarass you a little bit!)

Nobody knows me like you do, mom. And I know you would never say I’m a disappointment, even if I really was, but I promise you you’ll never have to think about it. And I promise I will never let you forget how grateful I am for your love.

Happy Mother’s Day, mom. I sure do miss you.

MBG in Nice.
